About Morale Patches
Morale patches enable you to decorate your tactical equipment in the field and are camaraderie boosters. These patches are styled around things like motion picture quotes, memes, funny sayings, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style varies and includes text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical groups, airsoft groups, and military units usually have a team patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, select a standard group of patches consisting of a couple of morale patches which represent your unit.
Campaign Specific Patches
Most special missions, military operations, or airsoft competitions usually have their own patches. Unit members or game players who wear these patches have the reputation that originates from finishing that assignment, mission, or operation. When the mission occurred, Mission patches are a great method to highlight who was there.
Patch Attachment
Many morale patches attach to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is generally found on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the vest, bag, or uniform panel. Other types of patches consist of iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which warms up to stick to the positioning spot. Sew-on patches need to use heavy duty matching thread and sewing machines to attach to a uniform or BDU blouse.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the producer. The primary front of the patch usually consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is generally a Velcro loop backing area.
About New Brand Morale Patches
Patches like the USA Flag Custom Name Text Thin Blue LINE Embroidered Morale Patch Hook Backing made by the New Brand normally hold up quite well. Make sure to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming undone or unraveling. You can attempt to trim or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s longevity. Anchoring a thread includes taking a needle with the thread through the eye and stitching the thread back into the material several times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
The majority of morale patches are machine washable. This consists of any patches stitched onto uniforms or attached to equipment. It is a great suggestion to take off Velcro patches prior to washing since the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To wash detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, take off the patch from the gear. Wash with warm soapy water, rub lightly, and pat the patch dry.
