About Morale Patches
Morale patches allow you to decorate your tactical equipment in the field and are camaraderie boosters. These patches are styled around things like motion picture quotes, memes, amusing sayings, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style varies and consists of text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft groups, and military units generally have a group patch or patch set. If you are a team leader, choose a standard group of patches consisting of a few morale patches which represent your unit.
Mission Specific Patches
Many special missions, military operations, or airsoft tournaments generally have their own patches. Unit members or players who display these patches have the prestige that comes from completing that mission, assignment, or operation. Mission patches are an excellent way to highlight who attended when the mission occurred.
Patch Attachment
Most morale patches connect to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. Stitch-on patches should use heavy duty matching thread and stitching machines to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Kinds Of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends on the supplier. The primary front of the patch usually includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is usually a Velcro loop backing area.
About Appalachian Spirit Morale Patches
Patches like the Treat People with Kindness 3 Embroidered Patch DIY Iron-on/Sew-on Decorative Vacation Souvenir Travel Appliques Retro Vintage 1970’s Peace Van Weed Love Heart Dove Music Festival Karma Hippie made by the Appalachian Spirit typically hold up quite well. Make certain to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming frayed or unraveling. You can attempt to trim or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s longevity. Anchoring a thread involves taking a needle with the thread through the eye and sewing the thread back into the material several times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
It is an excellent idea to take off Velcro patches before washing since the wear and tear of a washing machine can be tough on the patch. To wash removable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, take off the patch from the equipment.
