Morale Patches for Teams
Tactical groups, airsoft squads, and military units normally have a group patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, choose a basic group of patches including a couple of morale patches which represent your unit. You can use these group patches for group acknowledgment, awards, accomplishments, and rank advancements. It is a great method to create camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a couple of spares on-hand for exchanging patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied groups.
Mission Specific Patches
A lot of special missions, military operations, or airsoft tournaments usually have their own patches. Unit members or game players who use these patches have the reputation that comes from finishing that tour of duty, mission, or campaign. When the mission occurred, Mission patches are a good way to highlight who participated.
Patch Attachment
The majority of morale patches attach to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is usually located on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the uniform, bag, or vest panel. Other types of patches include iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which heats up to stick to the placement area. Stitch-on patches need to use heavy duty sewing machines and matching thread to attach to a uniform or BDU blouse.
Kinds Of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends on the maker. The main front of the patch normally consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is usually a Velcro loop backing.
About Tactical Embroidery Patch Morale Patches
Patches like the The Flash Justice League DC Comics Superhero Tactical Embroidery Patch Hook & Loop Morale Patch Military Patch for Clothing Accessory Backpack Armband made by the Tactical Embroidery Patch generally hold up pretty well. Make certain to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming frayed or unraveling. You can attempt to trim or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s service life. Anchoring a thread involves taking a threaded needle and stitching the thread back into the material a number of times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
The majority of morale patches are machine washable. This consists of any patches stitched onto uniforms or connected to equipment. It is a good choice to remove Velcro patches prior to washing given that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To wash detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, take off the patch from the equipment. Clean with warm soapy water, rub lightly, and pat the patch dry.
