About Morale Patches
Morale patches allow you to embellish your tactical gear in the field and are team comradery boosters. These patches are styled around things like movie quotes, memes, amusing phrases, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style consists of and differs text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft teams, and military units typically have a group patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, select a basic group of patches consisting of a couple of morale patches which represent your squad. You can use these team patches for group recognition, awards, achievements, and rank advancements. It is a great way to develop comradery within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Campaign Specific Patches
The majority of special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft competitions typically have their own patches. Unit members or game players who use these patches have the status that comes from completing that mission, operation, or task. When the mission happened, Mission patches are a great way to highlight who was there.
Morale Patch Attachment
A lot of morale patches attach to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. Stitch-on patches must use heavy duty matching thread and stitching machines to attach the patch to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends on the maker. The primary front of the patch normally consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is normally a Velcro loop backing.
About Ranger Return Morale Patches
Patches like the Tactical in GOD WE Trust Morale Tab Patch 1×3 3/4 – OD (Olive Drab) – by Ranger Return (RR-TACT-IGOD-00WE-TRST-0TAB-00OD) made by the Ranger Return generally hold up pretty well. You can try to trim or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s life.
Morale Patch Care
It is an excellent plan to remove Velcro patches prior to cleaning because the wear and tear of a washing machine can be rough on the patch. To clean removable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, take off the patch from the gear.
