About Morale Patches
Morale patches permit you to embellish your tactical equipment in the field and are confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like film quotes, memes, amusing expressions, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style differs and includes text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft teams, and military units normally have a team patch or patch set. Choose a basic group of patches including a few morale patches which represent your unit if you are a team leader. You can use these group patches for group recognition, awards, achievements, and rank advances. It is an excellent method to build camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a couple of spares on-hand for exchanging patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Campaign Specific Patches
The majority of special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft competitions normally have their own patches. Unit members or game players who use these patches have the prestige that comes from completing that task, campaign, or mission. When the mission took place, Mission patches are a great method to highlight who participated.
Morale Patch Attachment
Most morale patches connect to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. Stitch-on patches should use heavy duty matching thread and sewing machines to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends on the manufacturer. The main front of the patch generally includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is generally a Velcro loop backing panel.
About Unknown Morale Patches
Patches like the Stargate SG1 Group 1 Full Size Logo Shoulder 3 7/8 Wide Embroidered Patch made by the Unknown usually hold up pretty well. Ensure to trim any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming frayed or unraveling. You can try to trim or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s life expectancy. Anchoring a thread includes taking a needle with the thread through the eye and sewing the thread back into the material numerous times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
Most morale patches are machine washable. This includes any patches sewn onto uniforms or connected to equipment. Nevertheless, it is an excellent idea to take off Velcro patches prior to washing considering that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be tough on the patch. To clean detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, take off the patch from the equipment. Wash with warm soapy water, rub lightly, and pat the patch dry.
