Airsoft Weapon Magazines
These magazines usually attach to the airsoft gun comparable to the genuine weapons they are designed after. The types of airsoft weapon magazines include real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags.
Details About Airsoft Gun Mag Types
Airsoft gun magazines come in several types like real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags. Real capacity magazines, or real-caps, imitate the quantity of airsoft BBs a genuine gun would hold, which is usually about 24 to 30 BBs. Mid capability mags, or mid-caps, allow for additional airsoft BB storage with capacities around 120 to 160 BBs.
About How Airsoft Magazines Work
Airsoft magazines have a series of internal channels and BB storage spots. The BBs are generally pushed into these channels with a spring connected to the extremely far end. When the BBs are loaded, they compress the spring developing tension. On the load end, a small lock holds the BBs in the magazine. When a BB is fired, the airsoft gun launches the latch for a fraction of a second and loads another BB into the gun out of the mag. CO2, HPA, and GBB guns, which use compressed air or green gas, will typically keep the gas or feed air in through the magazine. This feeds BBs into the guns for these types of systems.
Airsoft Rifle Magazines Info
Airsoft rifle magazines are usually used in automatic electric guns (AEGs) and some kinds of sniper rifles. The mags are directly related to the type of AEG rifle plus most of the kinds of that rifle are cross-compatible with the magazines. See how the inner workings of airsoft weapons shoot BBs. The AEG magazines are placed into the gun’s mag insertion area. M4 style AEG magazines would typically work in all M4 style rifles from a brief CBQ gun with a 10 inch barrel made by G and G to a designated marksman rifle (DMR) platform with a 24 inch barrel. The same would apply to AK47 AEG mags with swapability between different AK rifle platforms. AEG rifle mags can store between 60 to 200+ airsoft BBs.
Airsoft SMG Magazines
Airsoft SMG magazines AEG are similarly separated by gun model and usable between various submachine guns. These SMG magazines also come in real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity versions with BB storage capacities ranging from around 24 airsoft BBs with real capacity mags to over 200 BBs with high capacity magazines. Rifle Magazines for Green Gas and HPA Systems Green gas rifles (consisting of GBB variations) and weapons powered by high pressure air (HPA) typically have their own custom-made style depending upon the airsoft weapon brand. These magazines use air and gas to work so the mags often come with builtin gas storage areas or are pre-tapped for HPA tank connections. The mags used in GBB guns keep gas in the mag so the rifle cycles every shot and feeds in the next BB. HPA pre-tapped mags use HPA lines which are connected to the valves and permit the pressurized air to stream in through the magazine. This setup feeds the airsoft BBs into the HPA gun.
Airsoft Pistol Magazines
Airsoft pistol magazines are frequently less flexible when compared to the AEG mags used in rifles and SMGs. The majority of airsoft pistol magazines hold around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs.
