About Morale Patches
Morale patches allow you to decorate your tactical gear in the field and are self-confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like movie quotes, memes, amusing sayings, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style differs and consists of text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical groups, airsoft teams, and military units generally have a group patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, select a standard group of patches including a couple of morale patches which represent your unit.
Campaign Specific Patches
The majority of special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft tournaments generally have their own patches. Unit members or game players who display these patches have the status that comes from finishing that campaign, mission, or assignment. Mission patches are a great way to highlight who participated when the mission took place.
Morale Patch Attachment
The majority of morale patches connect to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is usually seen on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the uniform, vest, or bag panel. Other kinds of patches consist of iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which warms up to adhere to the placement spot. Sew-on patches should use heavy duty sewing machines and matching thread to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the supplier. The primary front of the patch usually includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is normally a Velcro loop backing area.
About BritKitUSA Morale Patches
Patches like the Premium Embroidered Samurai Bot Morale Patch Hydro74 Bushido Hook and Loop Backing made by the BritKitUSA typically hold up pretty well. Ensure to trim any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming frayed or unraveling. You can try to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s lifespan. Anchoring a thread involves taking a needle and stitching the thread back into the material numerous times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
It is a great idea to remove Velcro patches before cleaning since the wear and tear of a washing machine can be rough on the patch. To clean detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the gear.
