About Morale Patches
Morale patches allow you to decorate your tactical equipment in the field and are self-confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like movie quotes, memes, amusing phrases, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style differs and includes text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft teams, and military units generally have a group patch or patch set. If you are a team leader, pick a standard group of patches consisting of a few morale patches which represent your unit. You can use these team patches for team acknowledgment, awards, achievements, and rank advancements. It is a great method to create comradery within your unit. You can also keep a couple of spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied groups.
Campaign Specific Patches
A lot of special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft competitions generally have their own patches. Unit members or players who wear these patches have the prestige that originates from finishing that operation, assignment, or mission. When the mission occurred, Mission patches are a great way to highlight who was there.
Patch Attachment
The majority of morale patches connect to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. Sew-on patches must use heavy duty matching thread and sewing machines to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends on the manufacturer. The primary front of the patch usually includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is generally a Velcro loop backing panel.
About Appalachian Spirit Morale Patches
Patches like the Petrified Forest National Park 3 Embroidered Patch DIY Iron or Sew-on Decorative Vacation Travel Souvenir Applique Wander Nature Wildlife Hike Trek Camping Explore Mountains Stars Moon Sun Sky Trails made by the Appalachian Spirit generally hold up pretty well. Ensure to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming frayed or unraveling. You can attempt to trim or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s lifespan. Anchoring a thread involves taking a needle with the thread through the eye and stitching the thread back into the material numerous times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
It is an excellent idea to remove Velcro patches before cleaning since the wear and tear of a washing machine can be rough on the patch. To clean detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, take off the patch from the equipment.
