Mission Specific Patches
The majority of special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft competitions normally have their own patches. Unit members or game players who use these patches have the reputation that comes from completing that task, campaign, or mission. When the mission occurred, Mission patches are a good method to highlight who was there.
Morale Patch Attachment
The majority of morale patches attach to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. Sew-on patches should use heavy duty sewing machines and matching thread to attach to a uniform or BDU blouse.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the supplier. The primary front of the patch generally includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is usually a Velcro loop backing.
About PatchOps Morale Patches
Patches like the PatchOps Parody Ohio Governor Mike Deswine Dewine PVC Tactical Morale Patch made by the PatchOps typically hold up quite well. Ensure to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming frayed or unraveling. You can try to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s life. Anchoring a thread includes taking a sewing needle and sewing the thread back into the material a number of times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
The majority of morale patches are machine washable. This consists of any patches stitched onto uniforms or connected to equipment. It is an excellent choice to remove Velcro patches before washing given that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To wash detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the gear. Wash with warm soapy water, rub lightly, and pat the patch dry.
