Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft teams, and military units generally have a team patch or patch set. If you are a team leader, pick a standard group of patches including a few morale patches which represent your unit. You can use these group patches for group acknowledgment, awards, accomplishments, and rank advances. It is an excellent way to build comradery within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for exchanging patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied groups.
Mission Specific Patches
A lot of special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft tournaments normally have their own patches. Unit members or game players who display these patches have the status that comes from finishing that campaign, mission, or assignment. Mission patches are an excellent method to highlight who participated when the mission happened.
Morale Patch Attachment
The majority of morale patches attach to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is usually seen on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the uniform, bag, or vest panel. Other kinds of patches include iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which heats up to adhere to the positioning spot. Stitch-on patches should use sturdy matching thread and sewing machines to connect to a uniform or BDU blouse.
Kinds Of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the maker. The main front of the patch typically consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is typically a Velcro loop backing area.
About PatchOps Morale Patches
Patches like the PatchOps Parody Illinois Governor JB Pritzker Pigzker Tactical Morale Patch made by the PatchOps normally hold up pretty well. Make certain to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming frayed or unraveling. You can try to trim or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s longevity. Anchoring a thread includes taking a threaded needle and sewing the thread back into the material a number of times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
It is a good plan to remove Velcro patches before washing since the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To clean detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the gear.
