About Morale Patches
Morale patches enable you to decorate your tactical gear in the field and are camaraderie boosters. These patches are styled around things like film quotes, memes, funny phrases, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style differs and consists of text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Teams
Tactical teams, airsoft squads, and military units usually have a team patch or patch set. Pick a basic group of patches including a couple of morale patches which represent your unit if you are a group leader. You can use these team patches for group recognition, awards, accomplishments, and rank advances. It is an excellent method to create comradery within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Campaign Specific Patches
The majority of special missions, military operations, or airsoft competitions generally have their own patches. Unit members or airsoft players who wear these patches have the reputation that comes from finishing that operation, mission, or assignment. When the mission happened, Mission patches are an excellent way to highlight who was there.
Morale Patch Attachment
A lot of morale patches attach to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is normally seen on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the vest, bag, or uniform panel. Other types of patches consist of iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which heats up to adhere to the positioning spot. Sew-on patches should use strong sewing machines and matching thread to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends on the maker. The main front of the patch typically consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is generally a Velcro loop backing panel.
About NEO Tactical Gear Morale Patches
Patches like the NEO Tactical Gear SGT. Elias Platoon PVC Morale Patch – Hook Backed with Matching Loop Piece made by the NEO Tactical Gear usually hold up quite well. Ensure to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming frayed or unraveling. You can try to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s service life. Anchoring a thread includes taking a needle and sewing the thread back into the material a number of times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
It is a good idea to remove Velcro patches before cleaning since the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To clean detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, take off the patch from the gear.
