About Morale Patches
Morale patches allow you to decorate your tactical gear in the field and are team comradery boosters. These patches are styled around things like movie quotes, memes, amusing sayings, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style includes and varies text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft groups, and military units generally have a group patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, pick a basic group of patches including a couple of morale patches which represent your squad. You can use these group patches for team acknowledgment, awards, accomplishments, and rank advances. It is a great method to build camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied groups.
Campaign Specific Patches
A lot of special missions, military operations, or airsoft competitions normally have their own patches. Unit members or airsoft players who display these patches have the status that comes from completing that task, campaign, or mission. Mission patches are an excellent method to highlight who participated when the mission occurred.
Morale Patch Attachment
The majority of morale patches connect to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is generally found on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the vest, bag, or uniform panel. Other kinds of patches include iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which heats up to stick to the positioning spot. Sew-on patches need to use sturdy matching thread and stitching machines to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the manufacturer. The primary front of the patch usually includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is normally a Velcro loop backing area.
