About Morale Patches
Morale patches allow you to embellish your tactical gear in the field and are confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like movie quotes, memes, funny sayings, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style consists of and varies text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Teams
Tactical groups, airsoft teams, and military units typically have a group patch or patch set. If you are a team leader, choose a standard group of patches consisting of a few morale patches which represent your squad. You can use these group patches for group acknowledgment, awards, achievements, and rank advances. It is a great way to grow camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a couple of spares on-hand for exchanging patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Campaign Specific Patches
The majority of special missions, military operations, or airsoft competitions generally have their own patches. Unit members or players who display these patches have the prestige that comes from finishing that tour of duty, mission, or operation. Mission patches are an excellent way to highlight who attended when the mission happened.
Patch Attachment
The majority of morale patches connect to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. Stitch-on patches should use heavy duty stitching machines and matching thread to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the producer. The primary front of the patch usually includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is usually a Velcro loop backing area.
About Morton Home Morale Patches
Patches like the Morton Home Major League Sniper Morale Patch (Brown) made by the Morton Home normally hold up pretty well. Make sure to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming undone or unraveling. You can try to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s longevity. Anchoring a thread includes taking a needle with the thread through the eye and sewing the thread back into the material numerous times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
It is an excellent idea to take off Velcro patches before cleaning since the wear and tear of a washing machine can be rough on the patch. To clean removable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, take off the patch from the equipment.
