Drawstring and Buckle closure
The ALICE Pack Universal Size consists of a Pouch with draw cord closure and Five outside pockets. Three Utility Pocket with strap and buckle adjustable closures and with snap fasteners for quick access, are provided for miscellaneous items. Two Bigger Pockets are provided at the side of the Rucksack for carrying Radio or some other necessary Day Supply. The ALICE Pack Universal Size must be used with the LC-1 Field Pack Frame.
The ALICE Pouch has a separate pocket to accommodate the Radio. Tie down cords and D rings inside the pouch can be used to shorten the Pack when it is not to be filled to capacity. The pouch flap has a pocket that can be opened by pulling two tabs apart. Small flat items can be carried in this pocket. Pressing flap sides together closes it. Hangers are also provided for carrying individual equipment. The ALICE Field Pack is carried on the soldiers back by attaching to the pack frame.
An envelope pocket is located at the top, back of the ALICE Pack and padded with spacer cloth, into which the field pack frame is inserted when the field pack is used on the field Pack Frame. Buckles and straps at each side near the bottom are used for anchoring the Field Pack to the Field Pack Frame. Two rectangular wire loops located at the top back of the field pack and D rings on each side at the bottom of the field pack are used to provide shoulder strap attachment.
ALICE pack padded and easily adjustable shoulder straps help relieve pressure, meanwhile the Kidney Pad strap on the frame also helps heave loading. Quick Release Buckle allows the pack to drop immediately while in emergency situation. Mixed Aluminum and Iron External Frame makes it lightweight but stronger. Instead of Mould Metal Buckles, the Multicam ALICE Pack whole system adopts UTX Heave Buckles, which not only make the Rucksacks appears more fashionable, but also lighter and easier to use.
All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment (ALICE) introduced in 1974 was made up of components for two types of load: the “Fighting Load” and the “Existence Load”. The ALICE Pack system was designed for use in all environments, whether hot, temperate, cold-wet or even cold-dry arctic conditions. It is still quite popular among not only military users, but also Camping, Traveling, Hiking, Hunting, Bug Out, and Soft games.
The ALICE Pack System retains the concept of separate Fighting and Existence loads that was refined in the mid- 1950s during the development of the LCE. The most important point in the fighting and existence loads concept is that an infantry rifleman should carry only the items necessary to complete the immediate mission at hand. The load an infantry rifleman carries should not include any other item that can be carried another way. Because the type of mission, terrain, and environmental conditions will influence the clothing and individual equipment requirements, the unit commander may prescribe to the infantry rifleman the essential items. The prime purpose of the fighting and existence loads concept is to lighten an infantry rifleman’s load.
MT ALICE Field Pack Large size – The construction and materials in the large field pack are similar to the medium field pack with the differences being: it is much larger in size; the center outside pocket is larger than the other two main outside pockets; and the addition of three small outside pockets above the larger pockets.
MT ALICE Frame, The ALICE Field Pack Frame is used as a mount for either the medium field pack or the large field pack. MT ALICE Pack frame comes with all Straps and made of aluminum construction.
The ALICE (All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment) load bearing system, was adopted as United States Army Standard A on 17 January 1973 to replace the M-1956 Load-Carrying Equipment (LCE) and M-1967 Modernized Load-Carrying Equipment (MLCE). Although since superseded by MOLLE, ALICE gear is still in some limited use in the U.S. Army in National Guard and training units, as well as by Navy and Air Force ground units. The U.S. Marine Corps currently uses ALICE gear in training.
The ALICE Rucksack System has been phased out of all Active and Reserve Component units in the Army. Basic and Advanced Individual Training units. The Navy and USAF use ALICE gear for ground personnel as well, although the USAF is phasing out ALICE in favor of MOLLE. The Marine Corps still issues the medium ALICE pack for some radio operators. Both it and the large variant can still be found with NROTC units (who train Marine officers in addition to Navy officers). Small maneuver elements which rely on lightweight pack design and durability still use ALICE packs today.
About MT Tactical Backpacks
The MT makes tactical packs and bags. When you are carrying your gear, you need a rucksack you can trust which will hold up to the conditions, be comfortable to shoulder, and have adequate room to carry everything. Enter the tactical pack. These bags have all the room you need to move around your airsoft equipment, camping supplies, bug-out equipment, and everything else in-between. They are similarly versatile enough so you can swap out your camping equipment for your job or class materials while keeping the tactical vibes.
MT Pack Resilience
Your tactical pack has to be durable so it will have the ability to endure a long period of time. A great backpack will be manufactured from products like 1050D ballistic nylon and other Cordura fabrics. These materials can endure under tough use and have a high yarn count weave material which makes the rucksack more abrasion resistant and durable. In 1050D nylon, the D means denier which is a unit of measurement for fiber thickness. The 1050 is the yarn count for the individual fibers inside the particular evaluated area of fabric.
Tactical Backpack Comfortability
Your backpack should be comfortable if you are toting it on your back for a long time over long ranges. Look for a tactical pack with characteristics like a cushioned waist strap to carry the pack’s weight to your hips. Internal frames are better than external frames when it comes to tactical backpack support.
Backpack Capacity and Liter Size
The size of the Military Rucksack Alice Pack Army Survival Combat Field Backpack with Frame Olive Drab determines how much it can carry. When choosing a bag, it is good to understand how much equipment you want to pack. Bag sizes are measured in liters for the amount of area they can hold things. If you only have several things to carry, a little day backpack around 20 to 30 liters should be fine. Opt for a larger backpack with +50 liters if you have more things to carry in your tactical pack or are planning on taking a multi-overnight trip.
Tactical Backpacks for Airsoft Gear
The Military Rucksack Alice Pack Army Survival Combat Field Backpack with Frame Olive Drab can be used for outdoor adventures and airsoft games. Airsoft gear can be cumbersome if you keep your airsoft masks and eye protection, additional airsoft BBs, green gas tanks, and other tools in the backpack. An excellent tactical backpack similar to the Condor 3 Day Assault pack is an effective option for an airsoft backpack.
