Drawstring and Buckle closure
The ALICE Pack Universal Size consists of a Pouch with draw cord closure and Five outside pockets. Three Utility Pocket with strap and buckle adjustable closures and with snap fasteners for quick access, are provided for miscellaneous items. Two Bigger Pockets are provided at the side of the Rucksack for carrying Radio or some other necessary Day Supply. The ALICE Pack Universal Size must be used with the LC-1 Field Pack Frame.
The ALICE Pouch has a separate pocket to accommodate the Radio. Tie down cords and D rings inside the pouch can be used to shorten the Pack when it is not to be filled to capacity. The pouch flap has a pocket that can be opened by pulling two tabs apart. Small flat items can be carried in this pocket. Pressing flap sides together closes it. Hangers are also provided for carrying individual equipment. The ALICE Field Pack is carried on the soldiers back by attaching to the pack frame.
An envelope pocket is located at the top, back of the ALICE Pack and padded with spacer cloth, into which the field pack frame is inserted when the field pack is used on the field Pack Frame. Buckles and straps at each side near the bottom are used for anchoring the Field Pack to the Field Pack Frame. Two rectangular wire loops located at the top back of the field pack and D rings on each side at the bottom of the field pack are used to provide shoulder strap attachment.
ALICE pack padded and easily adjustable shoulder straps help relieve pressure, meanwhile the Kidney Pad strap on the frame also helps heave loading. Quick Release Buckle allows the pack to drop immediately while in emergency situation. Mixed Aluminum and Iron External Frame makes it lightweight but stronger. Instead of Mould Metal Buckles, the Multicam ALICE Pack whole system adopts UTX Heave Buckles, which not only make the Rucksacks appears more fashionable, but also lighter and easier to use.
All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment (ALICE) introduced in 1974 was made up of components for two types of load: the “Fighting Load” and the “Existence Load”. The ALICE Pack system was designed for use in all environments, whether hot, temperate, cold-wet or even cold-dry arctic conditions. It is still quite popular among not only military users, but also Camping, Traveling, Hiking, Hunting, Bug Out, and Soft games.
The ALICE Pack System retains the concept of separate Fighting and Existence loads that was refined in the mid- 1950s during the development of the LCE. The most important point in the fighting and existence loads concept is that an infantry rifleman should carry only the items necessary to complete the immediate mission at hand. The load an infantry rifleman carries should not include any other item that can be carried another way. Because the type of mission, terrain, and environmental conditions will influence the clothing and individual equipment requirements, the unit commander may prescribe to the infantry rifleman the essential items. The prime purpose of the fighting and existence loads concept is to lighten an infantry rifleman’s load.
MT ALICE Field Pack Large size – The construction and materials in the large field pack are similar to the medium field pack with the differences being: it is much larger in size; the center outside pocket is larger than the other two main outside pockets; and the addition of three small outside pockets above the larger pockets.
MT ALICE Frame, The ALICE Field Pack Frame is used as a mount for either the medium field pack or the large field pack. MT ALICE Pack frame comes with all Straps and made of aluminum construction.
The ALICE (All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment) load bearing system, was adopted as United States Army Standard A on 17 January 1973 to replace the M-1956 Load-Carrying Equipment (LCE) and M-1967 Modernized Load-Carrying Equipment (MLCE). Although since superseded by MOLLE, ALICE gear is still in some limited use in the U.S. Army in National Guard and training units, as well as by Navy and Air Force ground units. The U.S. Marine Corps currently uses ALICE gear in training.
The ALICE Rucksack System has been phased out of all Active and Reserve Component units in the Army. Basic and Advanced Individual Training units. The Navy and USAF use ALICE gear for ground personnel as well, although the USAF is phasing out ALICE in favor of MOLLE. The Marine Corps still issues the medium ALICE pack for some radio operators. Both it and the large variant can still be found with NROTC units (who train Marine officers in addition to Navy officers). Small maneuver elements which rely on lightweight pack design and durability still use ALICE packs today.
About MT Tactical Backpacks
The MT makes tactical packs and bags. When you are carrying your equipment, you want a pack you can rely on which will hold up to the environment, be comfy to tote around, and have enough capacity to hold important things. Enter the tactical pack.
MT Bag Toughness
Your tactical bag has to be dependable so it will have the ability to endure a very long time. An excellent pack will be crafted from fabrics like 1050D ballistic nylon and other Cordura fabrics. These materials can last under difficult use and have a very high yarn count weave fabric which makes the backpack more resilient and abrasion resistant. In 1050D nylon, the D represents denier which is a unit of measurement for fiber density. The 1050 is the yarn count for each of the fibers inside the particular measured location of material.
Tactical Backpack Comfortability
Your knapsack needs to be comfy if you are toting a bag for a long time over long hauls. Search for a tactical backpack with qualities like a cushioned waist harness to place the pack’s load to your hips. This permits you to ideally carry the weight rather than carrying all of it on your shoulders. This makes a substantial difference during a long distance like a rucksack march or while climbing. The majority of these knapsacks even have air-cooling mesh back panels which aids in keeping you cool throughout hot adventures. Additionally, internal frames are better than external frames when it concerns tactical bag support. Search for this attribute when picking your pack.
Pack Capacity and Liter Size
The size of the Military Rucksack Alice Pack Army Survival Combat Field Backpack with Frame Olive Drab determines how much it can hold. When selecting a backpack, it is good to recognize how much gear you desire to pack. Bag sizes are sized up in liters for the quantity of room they can carry things. If you only have a number of things to bring with you, a smaller day pack around 20 to 30 liters in size is probably fine. If you have more things to take in your tactical knapsack or consider taking a multi-overnight trip, use a larger backpack with +50 liters.
Tactical Backpacks for Airsoft Gear
The Military Rucksack Alice Pack Army Survival Combat Field Backpack with Frame Olive Drab can be used for airsoft and other outdoor activities. Airsoft gear can be unmanageable if you keep your airsoft masks and eye protection, additional airsoft BBs, green gas cylinders, and other tools in the pack. An excellent tactical pack like the Condor 3 Day Assault pack is a really good choice for an airsoft pack. This pack is around 50 liters and can have adequate space for your airsoft equipment. It also comes in multiple colors like black, multicam, od green, and coyote to match the rest of your tactical equipment.
