About Morale Patches
Morale patches permit you to embellish your tactical gear in the field and are camaraderie boosters. These patches are styled around things like film quotes, memes, funny sayings, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style includes and differs text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Teams
Tactical groups, airsoft teams, and military units typically have a team patch or patch set. If you are a team leader, select a standard group of patches consisting of a few morale patches which represent your unit.
Campaign Specific Patches
Most special missions, military operations, or airsoft tournaments typically have their own patches. Unit members or players who display these patches have the status that comes from completing that campaign, assignment, or mission. Mission patches are a good way to highlight who participated when the mission took place.
Patch Attachment
Most morale patches connect to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is normally located on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the vest, bag, or uniform panel. Other types of patches include iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which heats up to adhere to the placement area. Sew-on patches must use strong matching thread and sewing machines to attach to a uniform or BDU blouse.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends on the producer. The primary front of the patch usually consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is usually a Velcro loop backing.
About LEGEEON Morale Patches
Patches like the LEGEEON ACU Gray EMS EMT Medic Paramedic Star Life Morale Tactical PVC 3D Hook Loop Patch made by the LEGEEON normally hold up pretty well. Make sure to trim any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming undone or unraveling. You can try to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s life expectancy. Anchoring a thread involves taking a sewing needle and sewing the thread back into the material several times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
The majority of morale patches are machine washable. This includes any patches sewn onto uniforms or attached to gear. It is a good idea to remove Velcro patches prior to cleaning because the wear and tear of a washing machine can be tough on the patch. To clean removable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the equipment. Wash with warm soapy water, rub gently, and pat the patch dry.
