About Morale Patches
Morale patches permit you to embellish your tactical gear in the field and are self-confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like movie quotes, memes, amusing phrases, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style differs and consists of text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Teams
Tactical groups, airsoft teams, and military units typically have a group patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, pick a standard group of patches including a couple of morale patches which represent your unit. You can use these group patches for group recognition, awards, achievements, and rank advances. It is a great method to grow camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied groups.
Mission Specific Patches
The majority of special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft competitions generally have their own patches. Unit members or game players who wear these patches have the reputation that comes from completing that task, campaign, or mission. When the mission occurred, Mission patches are a great way to highlight who participated.
Morale Patch Attachment
Most morale patches connect to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is normally located on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the vest, uniform, or bag panel. Other types of patches include iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which warms up to adhere to the positioning spot. Stitch-on patches should use strong matching thread and stitching machines to connect to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends on the manufacturer. The main front of the patch normally includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is usually a Velcro loop backing.
