Due to the change in which receivers have #6 and #8 screws from Savage, we recommend you remove and measure one of the screws prior to purchasing our scope mount. This will ensure that you receive the correct screws necessary for your specific application. Some Savage guns (like the .338 Lapua or 110 BA) require 8-40 screws. We now have mounts drilled for #8 screws available for all MOAs. We also have a #8 Drill Out Kit available for customers who would like to drill the mounts out themselves.
This mount is drilled for and provided with 6-48 Hex Head screws. We recommend reviewing our listing below for predrilled #8 mounts if you require #8 screws. Our 8-40 and 6-48 screws utilize the same head design, which allows us to use the same countersink in all of our mounts.
