Airsoft Weapon Magazines Details
Airsoft weapons shoot airsoft BBs. These BBs are usually stored in the gun’s mag. These magazines usually attach to the airsoft weapon very similarly to the real weapons they are designed after. The kinds of airsoft weapon magazines include real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity magazines.
Airsoft Weapon Magazine Type Information
Airsoft weapon mags come in multiple types like real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags. Real capacity mags, or real-caps, imitate the amount of airsoft BBs a genuine weapon would hold, which is usually about 24 to 30 BBs. Mid capability magazines, or mid-caps, allow for more airsoft BB storage with capacities about 120 to 160 BBs.
Details About How Airsoft Magazines Work
Airsoft mags have a series of internal channels and BB storage locations. The BBs are generally pushed into these channels with a spring connected to the really far end. When the BBs are filled, they compress the spring producing stress. On the load end, a small latch holds the BBs in the mag. When a BB is fired, the airsoft weapon releases the latch for a fraction of a second and loads another BB into the weapon out of the magazine. HPA, CO2, and GBB weapons, which use compressed air or green gas, will typically keep the gas or feed air in through the mag. This feeds BBs into the guns for these kinds of systems.
Info Airsoft Rifle Mags
Airsoft rifle magazines are frequently used in automatic electric guns (AEGs) and some types of sniper rifles. The magazines are directly related to the kind of AEG rifle and all of the types of that rifle are cross-compatible with the magazines. Understand how airsoft weapons function. The AEG mags are placed into the gun’s magazine well. M4 style AEG magazines would typically work in all M4 design rifles from a short CBQ weapon with a 10 inch barrel made by KWA to a designated marksman rifle (DMR) platform with a 24″ like the guns made by ICS or Tokyo Marui. The same cross-compatibility would apply to AK47 AEG mags with swapability between different AK rifle platforms. AEG rifle magazines can store in between 60 to 200+ airsoft BBs.
Airsoft SMG Mags Info
Airsoft SMG magazines AEG are similarly separated by gun design and functional in between various submachine guns. These SMG magazines also come in real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity variations with BB storage capacities ranging from around 24 airsoft BBs with real capacity mags to over 200 BBs with high capacity magazines. Rifle Magazines for Green Gas and HPA Systems Green gas rifles (including GBB versions) and guns powered by high pressure air (HPA) often have their own custom-made design depending on the airsoft gun brand. These mags use air and gas to operate so the mags often feature builtin gas tanks or are pre-tapped for HPA tank hookups. The magazines used in GBB weapons accumulate gas in the magazine so the rifle cycles every shot and feeds in the next BB. HPA pre-tapped magazines use HPA lines which are connected to the valves and permit the pressurized air to stream in through the mag. This setup feeds the airsoft BBs into the HPA gun.
Airsoft Pistol Magazines
Airsoft pistol magazines are often less flexible when compared to the AEG mags used in smgs and rifles. A lot of airsoft pistol mags can store around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs.
