About Airsoft Gun Mags
Airsoft guns shoot airsoft BBs. These BBs are usually held in the weapon’s mag. These mags usually attach to the airsoft weapon very similarly to the genuine weapons they are imitated. The types of airsoft gun mags include real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity magazines.
Airsoft Weapon Mag Types
Airsoft weapon magazines come in multiple types like real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags. Real capacity magazines, or real-caps, replicate the amount of airsoft BBs a genuine weapon would hold, which is normally about 24 to 30 BBs. Mid capability mags, or mid-caps, allow for additional airsoft BB storage with capacities around 120 to 160 BBs.
Info on How Airsoft Mags Work
Airsoft magazines have a series of internal channels and BB storage spots. The BBs are generally packed into these channels with a spring attached to the very far end. When the BBs are filled, they compress the spring producing stress. On the load end, a little latch holds the BBs in the mag. When a BB is fired, the airsoft gun releases the lock for an instant and loads another BB into the weapon out of the magazine. HPA, CO2, and GBB weapons, which use compressed air or green gas, will often keep the gas or feed air in through the mag. This feeds BBs into the guns for these types of systems.
About Airsoft Rifle Mags
Airsoft rifle mags are frequently used in automatic electric guns (AEGs) and some kinds of sniper rifles. The magazines are directly related to the kind of AEG rifle plus all of the kinds of that rifle are cross-compatible with the mags. Learn more about how airsoft weapons function. The AEG magazines are inserted into the weapon’s mag well. M4 style AEG mags would typically work in all M4 design rifles from a brief CBQ gun with a 10″ barrel made by G and G to a designated marksman rifle (DMR) platform with a 24 inch barrel. The exact same would relate to AK47 AEG mags with swapability between different AK rifle platforms. AEG rifle mags can keep between 60 to 200+ airsoft BBs.
Airsoft SMG Magazines Details
Airsoft SMG magazines AEG are similarly separated by weapon model and functional in between various submachine guns. Hecker and Koch H&K MP5 AEG magazines are made to operate in various MP5s like the MP5K or MP5SD. P90, KRISS Vector, and TMP AEG magazines are usually built to be compatible. These SMG magazines also can be found in real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity variations with BB storage capacities varying from around 24 airsoft BBs with real capacity mags to over 200 BBs with high capacity magazines. Rifle Mags for Green Gas and HPA Systems Green gas rifles (including GBB versions) and weapons powered by high pressure air (HPA) frequently have their own customized design depending on the airsoft weapon brand. These magazines use air and gas to operate so the mags often come with builtin gas storage or pre-tapped for HPA tank connections. The magazines used in GBB guns keep gas in the mag so the rifle cycles every shot and feeds in the next BB. HPA pre-tapped mags use HPA lines which are hooked up to the valves and let the pressurized air to stream in through the mag. This setup feeds the airsoft BBs into the HPA gun.
Information on Airsoft Handgun Mags
Airsoft pistol mags are typically less flexible when compared to the AEG magazines used in smgs and rifles. Many airsoft handgun magazines house around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs.
