Airsoft Gun Mags Information
Airsoft guns shoot airsoft BBs. These BBs are generally stored in the gun’s magazine. These mags generally connect to the airsoft gun very similarly to the genuine weapons they are imitated. The kinds of airsoft gun magazines include real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags.
Airsoft Gun Magazine Types
Airsoft weapon magazines are manufactured in a handful of types like real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity magazines. These kinds most often relate to AEG magazines for automatic electric guns. Real capacity mags, or real-caps, mimic the total of airsoft BBs a real gun would store in bullets, which is normally around 24 to 30 airsoft BBs. Mid capability magazines, or mid-caps, enable more airsoft BB storage with capacities about 120 to 160 BBs. High capacity magazines, or high-caps, give airsoft players the greatest storage space with over 200 rounds of BB storage capacity. Something to consider about high-cap mags is that airsoft fields often restrain their use during games because of players shooting an excessive amount of ammo to spray-and-pray during gameplay.
How Airsoft Magazines Work
Airsoft mags have a series of internal channels and BB storage spots. The BBs are usually packed into these channels with a spring attached to the very far end. When the BBs are loaded, they compress the spring producing stress. On the load end, a small lock holds the BBs in the mag. When a BB is fired, the airsoft weapon launches the latch for a split second and loads another BB into the weapon out of the magazine. CO2, HPA, and GBB weapons, which use high pressure air or green gas, will typically save the gas or feed air in through the mag. This feeds BBs into the guns for these kinds of systems.
Airsoft Rifle Mags Information
Airsoft rifle magazines are frequently used in automatic electric guns (AEGs) and some kinds of sniper rifles. The magazines are directly related to the type of AEG rifle and all of the kinds of that rifle are cross-compatible with the magazines. See how airsoft weapons work. The AEG mags are placed into the gun’s magazine insertion area. For example M4 design AEG mags would generally operate in all M4 design rifles from a brief CBQ weapon with a 10″ barrel made by KWA to a designated marksman rifle (DMR) platform with a 24 inch made by Lancer Tactical or Elite Force. The very same would apply to AK47 AEG magazines with swapability between different AK rifle platforms. AEG rifle magazines can hold in between 60 to 200+ airsoft BBs.
About Airsoft SMG Mags
Airsoft SMG magazines AEG are also separated by weapon design and functional in between various submachine guns. Hecker and Koch H&K MP5 AEG magazines are made to work in various MP5s like the MP5K or MP5SD. P90, KRISS Vector, and TMP AEG magazines are swappable between the same weapon series. These SMG magazines also can be found in real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity versions with BB storage capacities ranging from around 24 airsoft BBs with real capacity mags to over 200 BBs with high capacity magazines. Rifle Magazines for Green Gas and HPA Systems Green gas rifles (including GBB variations) and guns powered by high pressure air (HPA) often have their own custom style depending on the airsoft gun brand. These magazines use air and gas to work so the mags often include builtin gas tanks or are pre-tapped for HPA tank hookups. The mags used in GBB guns save gas in the magazine so the rifle cycles every shot and feeds in the next BB. HPA pre-tapped magazines use HPA lines which are hooked up to the valves and enable the pressurized air to stream in through the magazine. This setup feeds the airsoft BBs into the HPA gun.
Airsoft Handgun Mags
Airsoft handgun mags are frequently less flexible when compared to the AEG magazines used in smgs and rifles. The majority of airsoft pistol mags store around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs.
