About Morale Patches
Morale patches enable you to embellish your tactical gear in the field and are confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like film quotes, memes, amusing phrases, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style differs and consists of text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical groups, airsoft teams, and military units usually have a team patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, choose a standard group of patches including a few morale patches which represent your unit.
Mission Specific Patches
Most special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft competitions generally have their own patches. Unit members or game players who wear these patches have the prestige that comes from completing that tour of duty, mission, or campaign. Mission patches are a great method to highlight who attended when the mission occurred.
Patch Attachment
A lot of morale patches attach to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. Sew-on patches should use heavy duty stitching machines and matching thread to attach to a uniform or BDU blouse.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the maker. The main front of the patch usually consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is usually a Velcro loop backing panel.
About ELLEWIN Morale Patches
Patches like the ELLEWIN 2PCS Send It Tactical Patches Embroidered Morale Support Patch Hook and Loop, Black and White made by the ELLEWIN typically hold up quite well. Ensure to trim any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming undone or unraveling. You can attempt to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s longevity. Anchoring a thread includes taking a threaded needle and stitching the thread back into the material a number of times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
Many morale patches are machine washable. This consists of any patches sewn onto uniforms or connected to gear. However, it is a great choice to take off Velcro patches before washing given that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To wash detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the gear. Clean with warm soapy water, rub gently, and pat the patch dry.
