About Morale Patches
Morale patches enable you to decorate your tactical gear in the field and are self-confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like movie quotes, memes, amusing sayings, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style consists of and differs text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft teams, and military units generally have a team patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, pick a standard group of patches including a couple of morale patches which represent your unit.
Mission Specific Patches
Many special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft competitions typically have their own patches. Unit members or airsoft players who wear these patches have the status that originates from completing that mission, task, or tour of duty. When the mission happened, Mission patches are a great way to highlight who attended.
Patch Attachment
Many morale patches attach to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is normally seen on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the vest, uniform, or bag panel. Other types of patches consist of iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which warms up to stick to the placement spot. Stitch-on patches must use sturdy sewing machines and matching thread to connect to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the supplier. The primary front of the patch normally includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is typically a Velcro loop backing.
About BASTION Morale Patches
Patches like the Bastion Tactical Combat Badge PVC Morale Patch Hook and Loop Patch – Genesis 26:24 Gray made by the BASTION usually hold up quite well. Make certain to trim any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming undone or unraveling. You can attempt to trim or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s life expectancy. Anchoring a thread includes taking a needle and sewing the thread back into the material several times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
It is a great plan to remove Velcro patches before washing given that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be rough on the patch. To clean detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the gear.
