About Morale Patches
Morale patches allow you to decorate your tactical gear in the field and are confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like motion picture quotes, memes, funny sayings, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style varies and consists of text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Teams
Tactical teams, airsoft groups, and military units usually have a group patch or patch set. Select a standard group of patches including a few morale patches which represent your unit if you are a team leader. You can use these team patches for group acknowledgment, awards, achievements, and rank advances. It is an excellent method to develop camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a couple of spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Campaign Specific Patches
Many special missions, military operations, or airsoft competitions normally have their own patches. Unit members or players who wear these patches have the reputation that originates from finishing that mission, tour of duty, or assignment. When the mission took place, Mission patches are an excellent method to highlight who was there.
Morale Patch Attachment
A lot of morale patches connect to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is generally located on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the uniform, bag, or vest panel. Other types of patches include iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which heats up to adhere to the positioning spot. Sew-on patches must use strong matching thread and stitching machines to connect to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Kinds Of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the supplier. The main front of the patch generally includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is usually a Velcro loop backing panel.
About BASTION Morale Patches
Patches like the Bastion Tactical Combat Badge PVC Morale Patch Hook and Loop Patch – Gemini Lite Grn made by the BASTION generally hold up pretty well. Make sure to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming undone or unraveling. You can try to trim or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s service life. Anchoring a thread includes taking a sewing needle and sewing the thread back into the material numerous times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
It is a great plan to take off Velcro patches before washing given that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be rough on the patch. To clean removable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the equipment.
