About Morale Patches
Morale patches allow you to decorate your tactical gear in the field and are self-confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like movie quotes, memes, amusing sayings, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style varies and includes text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Teams
Tactical teams, airsoft squads, and military units usually have a team patch or patch set. If you are a team leader, choose a basic group of patches including a few morale patches which represent your squad. You can use these team patches for team recognition, awards, accomplishments, and rank advances. It is an excellent way to grow comradery within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Mission Specific Patches
Most special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft competitions typically have their own patches. Unit members or airsoft players who display these patches have the prestige that originates from completing that campaign, mission, or task. Mission patches are a great method to highlight who participated when the mission took place.
Patch Attachment
Most morale patches connect to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. Stitch-on patches should use heavy duty sewing machines and matching thread to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the maker. The primary front of the patch generally consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is normally a Velcro loop backing.
About Antrix Morale Patches
Patches like the Antrix Tactical Patch for Predator Hook and Loop Fastener Movie Military Applique Emblem Patch -3.15×2 made by the Antrix typically hold up quite well. Ensure to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming frayed or unraveling. You can try to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s service life. Anchoring a thread includes taking a needle and stitching the thread back into the material numerous times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
Many morale patches are machine washable. This consists of any patches sewn onto uniforms or attached to gear. It is an excellent plan to take off Velcro patches before washing because the wear and tear of a washing machine can be tough on the patch. To clean removable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the equipment. Clean with warm soapy water, rub lightly, and pat the patch dry.
