About Morale Patches
Morale patches enable you to decorate your tactical gear in the field and are camaraderie boosters. These patches are styled around things like film quotes, memes, amusing expressions, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style consists of and varies text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft teams, and military units generally have a team patch or patch set. If you are a team leader, select a basic group of patches consisting of a couple of morale patches which represent your unit.
Mission Specific Patches
The majority of special missions, military operations, or airsoft competitions normally have their own patches. Unit members or airsoft players who use these patches have the status that comes from completing that tour of duty, mission, or campaign. Mission patches are a great method to highlight who participated when the mission occurred.
Patch Attachment
Many morale patches attach to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is generally located on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the uniform, vest, or bag panel. Other kinds of patches consist of iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which warms up to stick to the placement spot. Stitch-on patches should use heavy duty matching thread and stitching machines to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends on the supplier. The main front of the patch generally consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is normally a Velcro loop backing.
