Airsoft Gun Mags Details
Airsoft guns shoot airsoft BBs. These BBs are generally housed in the gun’s magazine. These mags generally connect to the airsoft gun very similarly to the genuine weapons they are imitated. The types of airsoft gun mags include real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags.
Airsoft Weapon Mag Types
Airsoft gun mags come in a number of types like real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags. Real capacity magazines, or real-caps, mimic the quantity of airsoft BBs a genuine weapon would house, which is generally about 24 to 30 BBs. Mid capability magazines, or mid-caps, allow for more airsoft BB storage with capacities around 120 to 160 BBs.
Details About How Airsoft Magazines Work
Airsoft magazines have a series of internal channels and BB storage zones. The BBs are generally packed into these channels with a spring attached to the very far end. When the BBs are packed, they compress the spring developing tension. On the load end, a small lock holds the BBs in the magazine. When a BB is fired, the airsoft gun launches the latch for an instant and loads another BB into the gun out of the mag. CO2, HPA, and GBB weapons, which use compressed air or green gas, will often store the gas or feed air in through the magazine. This feeds BBs into the guns for these kinds of systems.
Airsoft Rifle Magazines
Airsoft rifle mags are frequently used in automatic electric guns (AEGs) and some kinds of sniper rifles. The magazines are directly related to the type of AEG rifle and most of the types of that rifle are cross-compatible with the magazines. See how airsoft weapons function. The AEG mags are placed into the weapon’s magazine insertion area. For example M4 style AEG mags would normally operate in all M4 design rifles from a short CBQ gun with a 10 inch barrel made by G and G to a designated marksman rifle (DMR) platform with a 24 inch made by Lancer Tactical or Elite Force. The same cross-compatibility would relate to AK47 AEG magazines with swapability in between various AK rifle platforms. AEG rifle magazines can hold between 60 to 200+ airsoft BBs.
About Airsoft SMG Mags
Airsoft SMG mags AEG are similarly separated by gun model and functional between different submachine guns (SMGs). These SMG mags usually come in real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity variations with BB storage capacities varying from around 24 airsoft BBs with real capacity mags to over 200 BBs with high capacity mags. Rifle Magazines for Green Gas and HPA Systems These magazines use air and gas to work so the mags typically come with builtin gas tanks or pre-tapped for HPA tank hookups. The magazines used in GBB weapons store gas in the mag so the rifle cycles every shot and feeds in the next BB.
Airsoft Pistol Magazines Details
Airsoft pistol magazines are frequently less versatile when compared to the AEG mags used in smgs and rifles. The majority of airsoft handgun mags hold around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs.
