Airsoft Gun Mags Information
Airsoft guns shoot airsoft BBs. These BBs are typically housed in the weapon’s magazine. These magazines generally attach to the airsoft gun similar to the genuine weapons they are imitated. The types of airsoft weapon magazines include real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags.
About Airsoft Gun Mag Types
Airsoft gun mags are manufactured in a handful of types like real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags. These types usually relate to AEG mags for automatic electric guns. Real capacity mags, or real-caps, imitate the total of airsoft BBs a real gun would store, which is typically around 24 to 30 airsoft BBs. Mid capability mags, or mid-caps, allow for more airsoft BB storage with capacities about 120 to 160 BBs. High capacity mags, or high-caps, offer airsoft gamers the most storage with over 200 rounds of BB storage capacity. Something to consider about high-cap mags is that airsoft fields often regulate their usage due to players firing too much ammunition to spray and pray throughout games.
Information on How Airsoft Magazines Work
Airsoft magazines have a series of internal channels and BB storage spots. The BBs are usually pushed into these channels with a spring connected to the extremely far end. When the BBs are packed, they compress the spring producing stress. On the load end, a small lock holds the BBs in the mag. When a BB is fired, the airsoft gun releases the latch for a fraction of a second and loads another BB into the weapon out of the magazine. GBB, HPA, and CO2 guns, which use compressed air or green gas, will frequently save the gas or feed air in through the magazine. This feeds BBs into the guns for these kinds of systems.
About Airsoft Rifle Mags
Airsoft rifle magazines are usually used in automatic electric guns (AEGs) and some kinds of sniper rifles. The mags are related to the kind of AEG rifle and most of the types of that rifle are cross-compatible with the mags. Learn more about how airsoft guns function. The AEG magazines are placed into the gun’s mag well. M4 style AEG mags would normally work in all M4 style rifles from a brief CBQ weapon with a 10″ barrel made by G&G to a designated marksman rifle (DMR) platform with a 24 inch like the guns made by ICS or Tokyo Marui. The same idea would relate to AK47 AEG magazines with swapability in between different AK rifle platforms. AEG rifle mags can store in between 60 to 200+ airsoft BBs.
Airsoft SMG Mags
Airsoft SMG magazines AEG are similarly separated by weapon model and functional in between various submachine guns (SMGs). These SMG magazines usually come in real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity variations with BB storage capacities varying from around 24 airsoft BBs with real capacity mags to over 200 BBs with high capacity magazines. Rifle Magazines for Green Gas and HPA Systems Green gas rifles (consisting of GBB variations) and guns powered by high pressure air (HPA) typically have their own custom-made style depending on the airsoft weapon brand. These mags use air and gas to operate so the mags often feature builtin gas tanks or pre-tapped for HPA tank connections. The magazines used in GBB guns house gas in the magazine so the rifle cycles every shot and feeds in the next BB. HPA pre-tapped mags use HPA lines which are connected to the valves and permit the pressurized air to stream in through the magazine. This setup feeds the airsoft BBs into the HPA gun.
Airsoft Handgun Mags Details
Airsoft pistol mags are typically less flexible when compared to the AEG mags used in rifles and SMGs. The majority of airsoft handgun magazines hold around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs.
