Airsoft Gun Mags Info
These mags typically attach to the airsoft gun similar to the genuine weapons they are designed after. The types of airsoft gun mags consist of real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity magazines.
Airsoft Weapon Mag Type Info
Airsoft weapon mags come in a number of types like real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags. Real capacity mags, or real-caps, imitate the amount of airsoft BBs a genuine weapon would store, which is typically about 24 to 30 BBs. Mid capability mags, or mid-caps, permit for additional airsoft BB storage with capacities around 120 to 160 BBs.
How Airsoft Mags Work
Airsoft mags have a series of internal channels and BB storage spots. The BBs are usually pushed into these channels with a spring connected to the really far end. When the BBs are filled, they compress the spring creating stress. On the load end, a small latch holds the BBs in the mag. When a BB is fired, the airsoft weapon releases the lock for a split second and loads another BB into the weapon out of the magazine. HPA, CO2, and GBB guns, which use high pressure air or green gas, will typically store the gas or feed air in through the mag. This feeds BBs into the guns for these types of systems.
About Airsoft Rifle Mags
Airsoft rifle magazines are usually used in automatic electric guns (AEGs) and some types of sniper rifles. The mags are directly related to the kind of AEG rifle and most of the types of that rifle are cross-compatible with the mags. See how airsoft guns function. The AEG magazines are inserted into the weapon’s mag insertion area. For instance M4 design AEG magazines would generally work in all M4 design rifles from a brief CBQ gun with a 10″ barrel made by KWA to a designated marksman rifle (DMR) platform with a 24 inch made by Lancer Tactical or Elite Force. The exact same cross-compatibility would apply to AK47 AEG magazines with swapability between different AK rifle platforms. AEG rifle mags can hold between 60 to 200+ airsoft BBs.
Details About Airsoft SMG Mags
Airsoft SMG mags AEG are usually separated by gun design and usable in between different submachine guns. Hecker and Koch H&K MP5 AEG mags are made to operate in various MP5s like the MP5K or MP5SD. P90, KRISS Vector, and TMP AEG mags are constructed similarly. These SMG mags also can be found in real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity versions with BB storage capacities varying from around 24 airsoft BBs with real capacity mags to over 200 BBs with high capacity mags. Rifle Mags for Green Gas and HPA Systems These mags use air and gas to operate so the mags typically come with builtin gas tanks or pre-tapped for HPA tank connections. The mags used in GBB weapons keep gas in the magazine so the rifle cycles every shot and feeds in the next BB.
Airsoft Pistol Mags Information
Airsoft handgun mags are frequently less versatile when compared to the AEG magazines used in rifles and SMGs. Most airsoft handgun mags store around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs.
