Airsoft Gun Mags
Airsoft guns shoot airsoft BBs. These BBs are normally kept in the gun’s magazine. These magazines generally attach to the airsoft gun very similarly to the real weapons they are designed after. The kinds of airsoft gun mags include real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags.
About Airsoft Weapon Magazine Types
Airsoft gun mags come in multiple types like real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags. Real capacity magazines, or real-caps, simulate the amount of airsoft BBs a real weapon would store, which is generally about 24 to 30 BBs. Mid capability magazines, or mid-caps, enable for additional airsoft BB storage with capacities about 120 to 160 BBs.
How Airsoft Mags Work
Airsoft mags have a series of internal channels and BB storage locations. When a BB is fired, the airsoft weapon launches the latch for a split second and loads another BB into the gun out of the magazine. GBB, HPA, and CO2 weapons, which use high pressure air or green gas, will frequently stash the gas or feed air in through the magazine.
Details About Airsoft Rifle Magazines
Airsoft rifle magazines are frequently used in automatic electric guns (AEGs) and some kinds of sniper rifles. The magazines are related to the kind of AEG rifle and all of the types of that rifle are cross-compatible with the magazines. See how airsoft guns function. The AEG mags are inserted into the gun’s magazine insertion area. M4 style AEG magazines would usually work in all M4 design rifles from a brief CBQ weapon with a 10 inch barrel made by G and G to a designated marksman rifle (DMR) platform with a 24″ barrel. The exact same would relate to AK47 AEG magazines with swapability between different AK rifle platforms. AEG rifle magazines can hold between 60 to 200+ airsoft BBs.
Airsoft SMG Mags Information
Airsoft SMG mags AEG are similarly separated by weapon model and functional between different submachine guns (SMGs). These SMG magazines also come in real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity versions with BB storage capacities ranging from around 24 airsoft BBs with real capacity mags to over 200 BBs with high capacity mags. Rifle Mags for Green Gas and HPA Systems Green gas rifles (consisting of GBB versions) and weapons powered by high pressure air (HPA) typically have their own custom-made style depending upon the airsoft gun brand. These mags use air and gas to operate so the mags typically include builtin gas storage or are pre-tapped for HPA tank hookups. The mags used in GBB guns store gas in the magazine so the rifle cycles every shot and feeds in the next BB. HPA pre-tapped mags use HPA lines which are connected to the valves and permit the pressurized air to flow in through the magazine. This setup feeds the airsoft BBs into the HPA weapon.
Airsoft Handgun Mags
Airsoft handgun magazines are often less versatile when compared to the AEG mags used in smgs and rifles. Many airsoft handgun magazines hold around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs.
