Details About Airsoft Weapon Magazines
These magazines usually connect to the airsoft weapon very similarly to the genuine weapons they are modeled after. The types of airsoft weapon magazines include real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags.
Airsoft Weapon Mag Type Information
Airsoft gun mags are available in several different kinds like real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity magazines. These styles most often relate to AEG magazines for automatic electric guns. Real capacity magazines, or real-caps, simulate the amount of airsoft BBs a genuine gun would store, which is generally around 24 to 30 BBs. Mid capability magazines, or mid-caps, enable more airsoft BB space with capacities around 120 to 160 BBs. High capacity mags, or high-caps, give airsoft gamers the greatest storage with over 200 rounds of BB storage capacity. One thing to take note of about high-cap mags is that airsoft arenas often restrict their use during games because of players shooting a lot of ammunition to spray-and-pray during games.
Info on How Airsoft Magazines Work
Airsoft magazines have a series of internal channels and BB storage spots. The BBs are usually packed into these channels with a spring attached to the really far end. When the BBs are packed, they compress the spring producing stress. On the load end, a little lock holds the BBs in the mag. When a BB is fired, the airsoft weapon launches the lock for a split second and loads another BB into the gun out of the magazine. CO2, GBB, and HPA guns, which use compressed air or green gas, will typically store the gas or feed air in through the magazine. This feeds BBs into the guns for these kinds of systems.
Airsoft Rifle Mags Info
Airsoft rifle mags are most frequently used in automatic electric guns (AEGs) and some types of sniper rifles. Find out how airsoft guns shoot BBs. The mags are specific to the type of AEG rifle and all of the types of that rifle are cross-compatible with the magazines. The AEG mags are inserted into the gun’s magazine well.
High-Cap LMG Magazine Details
Some airsoft AEG guns and machine guns use high capacity drum magazines. They can store up to 1000s of BBs and provide massive amounts of suppressive fire for a unit or fireteam.
About Airsoft SMG Magazines
Airsoft SMG magazines AEG are also separated by gun model and functional between various submachine guns (SMGs). These SMG magazines usually come in real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity variations with BB storage capacities ranging from around 24 airsoft BBs with real capacity mags to over 200 BBs with high capacity magazines. Rifle Mags for Green Gas and HPA Systems Green gas rifles (consisting of GBB variations) and guns powered by high pressure air (HPA) typically have their own custom-made style depending on the airsoft weapon brand. These mags use air and gas to work so the magazines typically come with builtin gas storage or are pre-tapped for HPA tank connections. The mags used in GBB guns store gas in the mag so the rifle cycles every shot and feeds in the next BB. HPA pre-tapped mags use HPA lines which are hooked up to the valves and help the pressurized air to flow in through the magazine. This setup feeds the airsoft BBs into the HPA gun.
Airsoft Pistol Mags Information
Airsoft handgun magazines are frequently less flexible when compared to the AEG mags used in rifles and SMGs. The majority of airsoft handgun mags can hold around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs.
