Airsoft Gun Mags
Airsoft guns shoot airsoft BBs. These BBs are usually stored in the gun’s mag. These mags generally connect to the airsoft weapon very similarly to the genuine weapons they are created after. The kinds of airsoft gun magazines include real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags.
Airsoft Gun Mag Type Info
Airsoft weapon magazines can be found in multiple styles like real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags. These styles frequently relate to AEG magazines. Real capacity magazines, or real-caps, imitate the total of airsoft BBs a real gun would keep, which is generally about 24 to 30 airsoft BBs. Mid capability mags, or mid-caps, allow for more airsoft BB space with capacities about 120 to 160 BBs. High capacity magazines, or high-caps, give airsoft players the most storage space with over 200 rounds of BB storage capacity. One point to note about high-cap mags is that airsoft fields commonly restrain their usage due to players firing too much ammunition to spray-and-pray during games.
How Airsoft Mags Work
Airsoft mags have a series of internal channels and BB storage spaces. The BBs are generally packed into these channels with a spring connected to the really far end. When the BBs are filled, they compress the spring producing stress. On the load end, a little latch holds the BBs in the magazine. When a BB is fired, the airsoft gun releases the lock for a split second and loads another BB into the weapon out of the magazine. GBB, HPA, and CO2 weapons, which use compressed air or green gas, will typically keep the gas or feed air in through the magazine. This feeds BBs into the guns for these types of systems.
Information Airsoft Rifle Mags
Airsoft rifle magazines are most often used in automatic electric guns (AEGs) and some kinds of sniper rifles. The magazines are related to the type of AEG rifle plus all of the types of that rifle are cross-compatible with the mags. Understand how airsoft weapons function. The AEG magazines are placed into the weapon’s mag well. For instance M4 design AEG magazines would usually work in all M4 style rifles from a short CBQ weapon with a 10″ barrel made by G&G to a designated marksman rifle (DMR) platform with a 24″ made by Lancer Tactical or Elite Force. The same idea would relate to AK47 AEG mags with swapability in between various AK rifle platforms. AEG rifle mags can hold between 60 to 200+ airsoft BBs.
Airsoft SMG Magazines Information
Airsoft SMG magazines AEG are similarly separated by gun design and functional in between different submachine guns (SMGs). These SMG magazines usually come in real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity variations with BB storage capacities varying from around 24 airsoft BBs with real capacity mags to over 200 BBs with high capacity mags. Rifle Mags for Green Gas and HPA Systems These mags use air and gas to function so the mags frequently come with builtin gas reservoirs or pre-tapped for HPA tank hookups. The mags used in GBB weapons keep gas in the mag so the rifle cycles every shot and feeds in the next BB.
Airsoft Pistol Magazines Information
Airsoft handgun magazines are typically less flexible when compared to the AEG magazines used in smgs and rifles. The majority of airsoft handgun mags house around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs.
