About Morale Patches
Morale patches allow you to embellish your tactical equipment in the field and are camaraderie boosters. These patches are styled around things like film quotes, memes, funny phrases, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style includes and varies text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft groups, and military units normally have a group patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, select a standard group of patches including a few morale patches which represent your unit.
Mission Specific Patches
Most special missions, military operations, or airsoft tournaments normally have their own patches. Unit members or airsoft players who display these patches have the reputation that originates from completing that mission, task, or operation. When the mission took place, Mission patches are an excellent method to highlight who was there.
Morale Patch Attachment
The majority of morale patches attach to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is typically located on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the vest, bag, or uniform panel. Other types of patches consist of iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which warms up to stick to the positioning spot. Sew-on patches should use heavy duty sewing machines and matching thread to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Kinds Of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the manufacturer. The primary front of the patch generally includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is usually a Velcro loop backing panel.
About Empire Tactical USA Morale Patches
Patches like the 3 OCP Multicam Asshole Merit Badge Tactical (Hook/Loop) Morale Patch made by the Empire Tactical USA generally hold up quite well. Ensure to trim any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming frayed or unraveling. You can attempt to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s lifespan. Anchoring a thread involves taking a needle with the thread through the eye and stitching the thread back into the material a number of times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
It is a great plan to take off Velcro patches before washing since the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To wash removable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the gear.
