Morale Patches for Teams
Tactical groups, airsoft groups, and military units usually have a team patch or patch set. Select a standard group of patches consisting of a couple of morale patches which represent your unit if you are a team leader. You can use these team patches for group acknowledgment, awards, accomplishments, and rank advancements. It is an excellent way to grow camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for exchanging patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Campaign Specific Patches
A lot of special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft competitions normally have their own patches. Unit members or players who display these patches have the status that comes from completing that mission, operation, or assignment. Mission patches are a great way to highlight who was there when the mission took place.
Patch Attachment
Most morale patches connect to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is normally seen on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the bag, vest, or uniform panel. Other kinds of patches include iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which heats up to adhere to the placement spot. Stitch-on patches need to use sturdy matching thread and stitching machines to connect to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Kinds Of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the maker. The primary front of the patch normally includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is generally a Velcro loop backing area.
