About Morale Patches
Morale patches enable you to decorate your tactical gear in the field and are confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like film quotes, memes, funny expressions, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style varies and includes text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Teams
Tactical groups, airsoft squads, and military units typically have a team patch or patch set. If you are a team leader, choose a basic group of patches including a couple of morale patches which represent your unit. You can use these team patches for team acknowledgment, awards, achievements, and rank advances. It is an excellent method to create camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied groups.
Mission Specific Patches
Many special missions, military operations, or airsoft tournaments generally have their own patches. Unit members or airsoft players who display these patches have the status that comes from finishing that operation, mission, or assignment. Mission patches are a good way to highlight who was there when the mission happened.
Patch Attachment
Most morale patches attach to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is typically seen on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the bag, uniform, or vest panel. Other types of patches consist of iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which warms up to adhere to the placement spot. Stitch-on patches need to use heavy duty sewing machines and matching thread to attach to a uniform or BDU blouse.
Kinds Of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends on the maker. The main front of the patch typically consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is usually a Velcro loop backing.
About Tactical Embroidery Patch Morale Patches
Patches like the 1pcs IR Positive Group Blood Type Infrared Reflective Tactical Embroidery Patch Hook & Loop Morale Patch Military Patch for Clothing Accessory Backpack Armband (Black, AB) made by the Tactical Embroidery Patch generally hold up quite well. Make certain to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming frayed or unraveling. You can try to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s lifespan. Anchoring a thread involves taking a needle with the thread through the eye and stitching the thread back into the material numerous times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
It is a great idea to remove Velcro patches before cleaning since the wear and tear of a washing machine can be rough on the patch. To clean removable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the gear.
