About Morale Patches
Morale patches permit you to decorate your tactical gear in the field and are confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like movie quotes, memes, funny expressions, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style consists of and varies text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft teams, and military units normally have a group patch or patch set. If you are a team leader, select a standard group of patches including a few morale patches which represent your unit. You can use these group patches for group recognition, awards, accomplishments, and rank advancements. It is an excellent way to grow comradery within your unit. You can also keep a couple of spares on-hand for exchanging patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Mission Specific Patches
Many special missions, military operations, or airsoft tournaments typically have their own patches. Unit members or airsoft players who wear these patches have the prestige that comes from completing that assignment, mission, or campaign. Mission patches are an excellent way to highlight who was there when the mission happened.
Morale Patch Attachment
The majority of morale patches connect to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. Stitch-on patches should use heavy duty matching thread and stitching machines to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the producer. The primary front of the patch typically includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is normally a Velcro loop backing.
About ShowPlus Morale Patches
Patches like the ShowPlus Asshole Merit Badge Morale Tactical Embroidered Patch (Gray) made by the ShowPlus normally hold up pretty well. Make sure to trim any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming undone or unraveling. You can try to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s longevity.
Morale Patch Care
It is a good idea to take off Velcro patches prior to washing since the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To wash removable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the equipment.
