About Morale Patches
Morale patches enable you to embellish your tactical gear in the field and are confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like film quotes, memes, funny phrases, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style consists of and varies text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Teams
Tactical teams, airsoft squads, and military units typically have a team patch or patch set. Pick a basic group of patches including a few morale patches which represent your unit if you are a group leader. You can use these team patches for group acknowledgment, awards, accomplishments, and rank advances. It is a great way to build camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Mission Specific Patches
Many special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft competitions usually have their own patches. Unit members or game players who display these patches have the reputation that originates from finishing that mission, operation, or task. Mission patches are a good way to highlight who attended when the mission occurred.
Morale Patch Attachment
Most morale patches attach to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is normally seen on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the uniform, bag, or vest panel. Other types of patches include iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which heats up to stick to the placement spot. Sew-on patches must use sturdy stitching machines and matching thread to connect to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Kinds Of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the supplier. The primary front of the patch usually includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is normally a Velcro loop backing.

Morale Patch Care
Many morale patches are machine washable. This includes any patches sewn onto uniforms or attached to gear. However, it is a great idea to take off Velcro patches before washing since the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To wash detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the equipment. Clean with warm soapy water, rub gently, and pat the patch dry.
