Morale Patches for Teams
Tactical teams, airsoft squads, and military units typically have a team patch or patch set. Patch Attachment
Most morale patches attach to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is generally found on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the vest, bag, or uniform panel. Other types of patches include iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which warms up to stick to the placement area. Stitch-on patches must use strong matching thread and stitching machines to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.

Morale patch material depends on the producer. The primary front of the patch typically consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is generally a Velcro loop backing area.

Morale Patch Care
The majority of morale patches are machine washable. This includes any patches stitched onto uniforms or attached to gear. However, it is an excellent idea to remove Velcro patches prior to washing considering that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be rough on the patch. To wash detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the equipment. Wash with warm soapy water, rub lightly, and pat the patch dry.
