About Morale Patches
Morale patches enable you to decorate your tactical equipment in the field and are team comradery boosters. These patches are styled around things like movie quotes, memes, funny phrases, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style varies and consists of text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft groups, and military units generally have a team patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, pick a standard group of patches consisting of a few morale patches which represent your unit.
Mission Specific Patches
Most special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft competitions normally have their own patches. Unit members or airsoft players who use these patches have the status that originates from completing that mission, task, or tour of duty. When the mission occurred, Mission patches are a good method to highlight who participated.
Morale Patch Attachment
Many morale patches attach to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. Stitch-on patches should use heavy duty sewing machines and matching thread to attach the patch to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the supplier. The primary front of the patch generally consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is normally a Velcro loop backing.
About Ranger Return Morale Patches
Patches like the Tactical Molon Labe Spartan Morale Patch 2×3 – OD (Olive Drab) – by Ranger Return (RR-TACT-MOLN-LABE-00OD) made by the Ranger Return normally hold up quite well. Make sure to trim any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming reversed or unraveling. You can attempt to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s lifespan.
Morale Patch Care
It is a good idea to remove Velcro patches prior to washing given that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To wash detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, take off the patch from the gear.
