About Morale Patches
Morale patches enable you to decorate your tactical equipment in the field and are confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like film quotes, memes, amusing phrases, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style varies and includes text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical groups, airsoft groups, and military units generally have a team patch or patch set. Choose a standard group of patches consisting of a few morale patches which represent your unit if you are a team leader. You can use these team patches for group recognition, awards, achievements, and rank advancements. It is a great method to build comradery within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for exchanging patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied groups.
Mission Specific Patches
Many special missions, military operations, or airsoft competitions normally have their own patches. Unit members or game players who display these patches have the reputation that comes from completing that mission, campaign, or task. Mission patches are an excellent way to highlight who participated when the mission occurred.
Patch Attachment
Most morale patches connect to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. Sew-on patches should use heavy duty matching thread and sewing machines to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the maker. The main front of the patch usually consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is normally a Velcro loop backing area.
About PVC PATCH Morale Patches
Patches like the Scorpion Unit Military Hook Loop Tactics Morale PVC Patch (color3) made by the PVC PATCH typically hold up pretty well. Make sure to trim any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming reversed or unraveling. You can attempt to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s life expectancy.
Morale Patch Care
It is a good idea to remove Velcro patches prior to washing since the wear and tear of a washing machine can be rough on the patch. To wash detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the equipment.
