About Morale Patches
Morale patches enable you to decorate your tactical equipment in the field and are self-confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like film quotes, memes, funny phrases, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style consists of and varies text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft squads, and military units typically have a group patch or patch set. Select a basic group of patches consisting of a couple of morale patches which represent your unit if you are a group leader. You can use these group patches for group recognition, awards, achievements, and rank advances. It is a great way to build camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a couple of spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied groups.
Campaign Specific Patches
A lot of special missions, military operations, or airsoft tournaments generally have their own patches. Unit members or players who display these patches have the prestige that comes from completing that assignment, operation, or mission. Mission patches are a good method to highlight who attended when the mission occurred.
Patch Attachment
A lot of morale patches attach to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is usually located on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the uniform, bag, or vest panel. Other types of patches consist of iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which heats up to stick to the positioning spot. Stitch-on patches must use strong matching thread and sewing machines to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Kinds Of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the supplier. The primary front of the patch normally includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is generally a Velcro loop backing area.
About NEO Tactical Gear Morale Patches
Patches like the NEO Tactical Gear Captain America Morale Patch PVC made by the NEO Tactical Gear generally hold up quite well. Make certain to trim any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming frayed or unraveling. You can try to trim or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s lifespan. Anchoring a thread includes taking a needle with the thread through the eye and stitching the thread back into the material several times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
It is an excellent idea to remove Velcro patches prior to cleaning given that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To wash detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, take off the patch from the equipment.
