About Morale Patches
Morale patches permit you to decorate your tactical gear in the field and are self-confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like motion picture quotes, memes, amusing expressions, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style includes and varies text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical groups, airsoft squads, and military units normally have a team patch or patch set. If you are a team leader, pick a standard group of patches consisting of a few morale patches which represent your unit. You can use these team patches for team acknowledgment, awards, achievements, and rank advances. It is an excellent method to build comradery within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Campaign Specific Patches
Many special missions, military operations, or airsoft competitions usually have their own patches. Unit members or game players who use these patches have the prestige that originates from finishing that assignment, mission, or campaign. When the mission occurred, Mission patches are a good way to highlight who was there.
Morale Patch Attachment
A lot of morale patches connect to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. Stitch-on patches need to use heavy duty matching thread and sewing machines to attach the patch to a uniform or BDU blouse.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends on the producer. The main front of the patch usually consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is usually a Velcro loop backing area.
About Miltacusa Morale Patches
Patches like the Blue Texas Star Flag Revolution Lone Star TX Tactical Hook Patch by Miltacusa made by the Miltacusa typically hold up quite well. Ensure to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming undone or unraveling. You can try to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s service life. Anchoring a thread involves taking a needle and sewing the thread back into the material a number of times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
A lot of morale patches are machine washable. This includes any patches stitched onto uniforms or connected to equipment. However, it is an excellent suggestion to remove Velcro patches prior to cleaning since the wear and tear of a washing machine can be rough on the patch. To clean detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, take off the patch from the gear. Wash with warm soapy water, rub lightly, and pat the patch dry.
