About Morale Patches
Morale patches permit you to decorate your tactical equipment in the field and are team morale boosters. These patches are styled around things like film quotes, memes, funny expressions, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style varies and includes text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Teams
Tactical teams, airsoft groups, and military units normally have a group patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, select a basic group of patches including a few morale patches which represent your squad. You can use these team patches for group acknowledgment, awards, accomplishments, and rank advancements. It is an excellent method to develop camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a couple of spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied groups.
Mission Specific Patches
Most special missions, military operations, or airsoft tournaments normally have their own patches. Unit members or game players who display these patches have the reputation that comes from finishing that assignment, mission, or operation. When the mission happened, Mission patches are a good way to highlight who attended.
Patch Attachment
The majority of morale patches connect to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is normally seen on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the vest, uniform, or bag panel. Other types of patches consist of iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which heats up to adhere to the positioning spot. Sew-on patches should use heavy duty sewing machines and matching thread to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the producer. The main front of the patch typically consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is typically a Velcro loop backing panel.
