Morale Patches for Teams
Tactical teams, airsoft groups, and military units typically have a team patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, pick a standard group of patches consisting of a few morale patches which represent your squad. You can use these team patches for group acknowledgment, awards, accomplishments, and rank advances. It is an excellent method to create camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a couple of spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Mission Specific Patches
Most special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft competitions typically have their own patches. Unit members or game players who display these patches have the status that originates from completing that mission, assignment, or campaign. When the mission occurred, Mission patches are a great method to highlight who was there.
Patch Attachment
A lot of morale patches connect to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is normally seen on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the uniform, vest, or bag panel. Other kinds of patches consist of iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which heats up to adhere to the positioning area. Sew-on patches must use heavy duty stitching machines and matching thread to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Kinds Of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends on the producer. The main front of the patch normally includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is typically a Velcro loop backing.
