Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft squads, and military units usually have a team patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, select a basic group of patches including a few morale patches which represent your unit. You can use these group patches for group acknowledgment, awards, accomplishments, and rank advancements. It is a great way to build camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied groups.
Campaign Specific Patches
The majority of special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft competitions normally have their own patches. Unit members or game players who display these patches have the reputation that comes from finishing that task, operation, or mission. When the mission happened, Mission patches are a great way to highlight who was there.
Patch Attachment
The majority of morale patches attach to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is typically found on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the uniform, bag, or vest panel. Other types of patches include iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which warms up to adhere to the placement spot. Sew-on patches must use heavy duty matching thread and sewing machines to connect to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Kinds Of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the manufacturer. The primary front of the patch usually consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is typically a Velcro loop backing panel.
