Airsoft Gun Magazine Product Features
Airsoft Weapon Magazines
Airsoft weapons shoot airsoft BBs. These BBs are generally held in the weapon’s mag. These magazines generally attach to the airsoft gun very similarly to the real weapons they are imitated. The types of airsoft gun mags include real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags.
Airsoft Weapon Mag Type Info
Airsoft weapon mags are manufactured in a couple of kinds like real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags. These kinds most often relate to AEG mags for automatic electric guns. Real capacity mags, or real-caps, simulate the quantity of airsoft BBs a genuine gun would hold in ammunition, which is normally around 24 to 30 airsoft BBs. Mid capability magazines, or mid-caps, allow for more airsoft BB space with capacities around 120 to 160 BBs. High capacity magazines, or high-caps, give airsoft gamers the greatest storage with around 200 rounds of BB storage volume. One point to consider about high-cap mags is that airsoft arenas frequently prohibit their use due to players using excessive amounts of ammunition to spray-and-pray during games.
How Airsoft Mags Work
Airsoft mags have a series of internal channels and BB storage areas. When a BB is fired, the airsoft gun launches the lock for a fraction of a second and loads another BB into the weapon out of the mag. CO2, HPA, and GBB weapons, which use high pressure air or green gas, will frequently keep the gas or feed air in through the mag.
Airsoft Rifle Magazines Info
Airsoft rifle magazines are most frequently used in automatic electric guns (AEGs) and some types of sniper rifles. Find out how airsoft AEGs work. The mags are particular to the type of AEG rifle and all of the types of that rifle are cross-compatible with the mags. The AEG magazines are inserted into the weapon’s magazine well.
High-Cap LMG Mag Information
Some airsoft AEG guns and squad automatic weapons like M249 Bravo SAWs and M60s use very large capacity magazines. They can store up to 1000s of BBs and provide fire support for a squad or fireteam during engagements.
Airsoft SMG Mags
Airsoft SMG magazines AEG are similarly separated by weapon model and usable between various submachine guns. These SMG magazines usually come in real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity versions with BB storage capacities varying from around 24 airsoft BBs with real capacity mags to over 200 BBs with high capacity magazines. Rifle Magazines for Green Gas and HPA Systems Green gas rifles (including GBB versions) and guns powered by high pressure air (HPA) typically have their own custom-made style depending upon the airsoft gun brand. These mags use air and gas to work so the magazines frequently include builtin gas storage areas or pre-tapped for HPA tank connections. The mags used in GBB weapons save gas in the magazine so the rifle cycles every shot and feeds in the next BB. HPA pre-tapped magazines use HPA lines which are attached to the valves and allow the pressurized air to flow in through the magazine. This setup feeds the airsoft BBs into the HPA gun.
Airsoft Pistol Magazines
Airsoft pistol mags are often less versatile when compared to the AEG magazines used in rifles and SMGs. Many airsoft pistol mags house around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs.
