Airsoft Gun Mags
These mags usually connect to the airsoft gun similar to the genuine weapons they are designed after. The types of airsoft weapon mags include real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity magazines.
Airsoft Gun Mag Type Info
Airsoft weapon magazines come in several types like real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity magazines. Real capacity magazines, or real-caps, mimic the quantity of airsoft BBs a real gun would house, which is normally about 24 to 30 BBs. Mid capability magazines, or mid-caps, allow for more airsoft BB storage with capacities about 120 to 160 BBs.
Airsoft Mag Functionality Information
Airsoft mags have a series of internal channels and BB storage locations. When a BB is fired, the airsoft gun releases the lock for a split second and loads another BB into the weapon out of the mag. CO2, HPA, and GBB weapons, which use high pressure air or green gas, will typically store the gas or feed air in through the magazine.
Info Airsoft Rifle Magazines
Airsoft rifle mags are usually used in automatic electric guns (AEGs) and some types of sniper rifles. The magazines are related to the type of AEG rifle plus all of the types of that rifle are cross-compatible with the magazines. Understand how the inner workings of airsoft weapons shoot BBs. The AEG mags are placed into the gun’s magazine insertion area. For instance M4 style AEG magazines would generally operate in all M4 design rifles from a brief CBQ weapon with a 10″ barrel made by G and G to a designated marksman rifle (DMR) platform with a 24″ barrel. The same idea would relate to AK47 AEG mags with swapability between different AK rifle platforms. AEG rifle mags can store in between 60 to 200+ airsoft BBs.
Airsoft SMG Magazines
Airsoft SMG magazines AEG are also separated by weapon design and usable in between different submachine guns. These SMG mags also come in real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity versions with BB storage capacities varying from around 24 airsoft BBs with real capacity mags to over 200 BBs with high capacity magazines. Rifle Mags for Green Gas and HPA Systems These magazines use air and gas to function so the mags typically come with builtin gas reservoirs or pre-tapped for HPA tank connections. The magazines used in GBB weapons save gas in the magazine so the rifle cycles every shot and feeds in the next BB.
Airsoft Handgun Magazines
Airsoft handgun magazines are typically less flexible when compared to the AEG magazines used in rifles and SMGs. The majority of airsoft pistol mags can hold around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs.
