Airsoft Gun Magazines Information
Airsoft weapons shoot airsoft BBs. These BBs are normally held in the gun’s mag. These magazines typically connect to the airsoft gun very similarly to the genuine weapons they are created after. The types of airsoft weapon magazines consist of real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags.
Airsoft Gun Mag Types
Airsoft gun mags come in a number of types like real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags. Real capacity magazines, or real-caps, simulate the amount of airsoft BBs a real gun would house, which is normally about 24 to 30 BBs. Mid capability magazines, or mid-caps, permit for more airsoft BB storage with capacities around 120 to 160 BBs.
Airsoft Mag Functionality Information
Airsoft magazines have a series of internal channels and BB storage locations. When a BB is fired, the airsoft weapon launches the latch for a fraction of a second and loads another BB into the weapon out of the magazine. CO2, GBB, and HPA guns, which use high pressure air or green gas, will typically keep the gas or feed air in through the mag.
Airsoft Rifle Mags
Airsoft rifle magazines are most frequently used in automatic electric guns (AEGs) and some types of sniper rifles. Learn about how airsoft guns shoot BBs. The magazines are particular to the type of AEG rifle and all of the types of that rifle are cross-compatible with the mags. The AEG mags are placed into the gun’s mag well.
High-Cap LMG Magazine Information
Some airsoft AEG guns and machine guns use very large capacity magazines. They can hold up to thousands of BBs and provide fire support for a squad or fireteam during fights.
Airsoft SMG Mags
Airsoft SMG mags AEG are also separated by gun design and functional between different submachine guns. These SMG mags also come in real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity versions with BB storage capacities ranging from around 24 airsoft BBs with real capacity mags to over 200 BBs with high capacity magazines. Rifle Magazines for Green Gas and HPA Systems Green gas rifles (including GBB versions) and guns powered by high pressure air (HPA) frequently have their own customized design depending upon the airsoft weapon brand. These magazines use air and gas to work so the mags frequently feature builtin gas reservoirs or are pre-tapped for HPA tank hookups. The magazines used in GBB guns store gas in the mag so the rifle cycles every shot and feeds in the next BB. HPA pre-tapped magazines use HPA lines which are attached to the valves and permit the pressurized air to flow in through the magazine. This setup feeds the airsoft BBs into the HPA weapon.
Details About Airsoft Pistol Magazines
Airsoft pistol magazines are typically less flexible when compared to the AEG mags used in smgs and rifles. Many airsoft handgun mags store around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs.
