About Morale Patches
Morale patches allow you to embellish your tactical equipment in the field and are team comradery boosters. These patches are styled around things like motion picture quotes, memes, amusing expressions, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style varies and consists of text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft groups, and military units generally have a group patch or patch set. Choose a standard group of patches including a couple of morale patches which represent your unit if you are a team leader. You can use these group patches for team acknowledgment, awards, accomplishments, and rank advances. It is a great way to develop comradery within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for swapping patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Mission Specific Patches
Many special missions, military campaigns, or airsoft tournaments generally have their own patches. Unit members or players who display these patches have the prestige that comes from finishing that operation, mission, or task. When the mission occurred, Mission patches are an excellent way to highlight who was there.
Patch Attachment
Many morale patches connect to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is usually found on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the bag, vest, or uniform panel. Other types of patches include iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which heats up to stick to the placement spot. Stitch-on patches need to use strong matching thread and stitching machines to attach to a uniform or BDU blouse.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends on the maker. The primary front of the patch typically includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is normally a Velcro loop backing panel.
About Antrix Morale Patches
Patches like the Star War Mandalorian Bantha Skull Bounty The Hunter Boba Fett Jango Fett Mercenary Shield Patch Hook & Loop Tactical Patch Set for Backpacks Caps Hats Vests Jersey Jeans Jacket Pants – Gray made by the Antrix generally hold up quite well. Make sure to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming frayed or unraveling. You can attempt to trim or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s service life. Anchoring a thread involves taking a needle with the thread through the eye and stitching the thread back into the material several times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
Many morale patches are machine washable. This consists of any patches stitched onto uniforms or connected to gear. However, it is an excellent suggestion to take off Velcro patches prior to washing considering that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be rough on the patch. To clean detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, take off the patch from the gear. Wash with warm soapy water, rub lightly, and pat the patch dry.
