About Morale Patches
Morale patches enable you to decorate your tactical equipment in the field and are team comradery boosters. These patches are styled around things like motion picture quotes, memes, funny sayings, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style includes and varies text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Teams
Tactical groups, airsoft groups, and military units usually have a group patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, choose a standard group of patches consisting of a couple of morale patches which represent your unit.
Campaign Specific Patches
A lot of special missions, military operations, or airsoft competitions generally have their own patches. Unit members or game players who display these patches have the status that originates from completing that mission, assignment, or campaign. When the mission happened, Mission patches are an excellent way to highlight who attended.
Patch Attachment
Most morale patches connect to equipment, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. Stitch-on patches should use heavy duty sewing machines and matching thread to attach the patch to a uniform or BDU blouse.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the maker. The primary front of the patch typically consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is typically a Velcro loop backing panel.
About Tactical Gear Junkie Morale Patches
Patches like the Strike First Strike Hard No Mercy Cobra Kai Motto 3in Diameter Patch (Black w/Yellow) made by the Tactical Gear Junkie typically hold up quite well. Make certain to cut any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming undone or unraveling. You can attempt to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s longevity. Anchoring a thread involves taking a threaded needle and stitching the thread back into the material a number of times. Sink the loose end of the thread so it cannot keep unraveling.
Morale Patch Care
The majority of morale patches are machine washable. This consists of any patches sewn onto uniforms or attached to gear. Nevertheless, it is a good idea to remove Velcro patches before washing given that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To wash detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, take off the patch from the equipment. Wash with warm soapy water, rub gently, and pat the patch dry.
