About Morale Patches
Morale patches enable you to decorate your tactical equipment in the field and are team morale boosters. These patches are styled around things like motion picture quotes, memes, amusing phrases, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style differs and includes text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical groups, airsoft groups, and military units generally have a group patch or patch set. If you are a group leader, choose a basic group of patches including a few morale patches which represent your unit.
Mission Specific Patches
Many special missions, military operations, or airsoft tournaments generally have their own patches. Unit members or airsoft players who display these patches have the status that comes from finishing that campaign, assignment, or mission. Mission patches are a good way to highlight who participated when the mission occurred.
Patch Attachment
The majority of morale patches attach to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. Sew-on patches should use heavy duty matching thread and stitching machines to attach the patch to a uniform or BDU blouse.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends on the maker. The primary front of the patch generally consists of embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are stitched and the back is typically a Velcro loop backing area.
About Tactical Embroidery Patch Morale Patches
Patches like the NASA Project Apollo Moon Landing Project Apollo 8 Tactical Embroidery Patch Hook & Loop Morale Patch Military Patch for Clothing Accessory Backpack Armband made by the Tactical Embroidery Patch generally hold up quite well. Make sure to trim any loose threads to keep the patch stitching or embroidered patch edges from coming undone or unraveling. You can attempt to cut or anchor any loose threads to extend the patch’s lifespan.
Morale Patch Care
A lot of morale patches are machine washable. This includes any patches stitched onto uniforms or attached to equipment. It is a good choice to remove Velcro patches prior to washing given that the wear and tear of a washing machine can be hard on the patch. To clean detachable PVC patches with Velcro attachments, remove the patch from the equipment. Clean with warm soapy water, rub lightly, and pat the patch dry.
